    12 medium sized prawns, shelled and de-veined

    1 cup ginger-garlic paste

    4 tsp chilli powder

    1 tsp jaggery, crumbled (optional)

    2 tsp vinegar

    2 tsp salt

    ½ cup sesame oil

    For seasoning

    ½ tsp mustard seeds

    ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds

    A pinch of turmeric powder

    A pinch of asafoetida (hing)

Ingredient Substitution Guide


1. Mix the vinegar and salt and marinate the prawns.

2. Cook the prawns till done. Mix the chilli powder and ginger-garlic paste and keep aside.

3. Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients. Pour it over the masala paste.

4. When cool mix it with the cooked prawns.
