Five killed, 35 injured in Jordan bus accident

Dubai: At least five people were killed and 35 others injured, including five seriously, in a bus crash on Salhoub-Jerash Road in Balqa, north of Jordanian capital Amman, on Wednesday morning,

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said the bus veered off the main road into a valley near the forest of the martyr Wasfi Al Tal.

The fatalities were evacuated, and first aid was provided to the injured, who were transported to nearby hospitals.

Traffic from Jerash to Irbid was closed.
