Abu Dhabi: Lawyer and legal advisor Khaled Abu Rashid warned against using students’ mobile phones for taking pictures or filming inside schools.

Abu Rashid said taking a picture inside a school is a cybercrime — invasion of privacy through the misuse of camera-equipped mobile phones — after allowing middle and high school students to use their mobile phones inside the school.

He said on his Twitter account parents should advise and educate their children not to take and publish pictures.

“The law of juveniles applies to these offenders in terms of penalties and procedures. The juvenile is a child who completed seven years but has not yet become 18,” he said.
