Abu Dhabi: The case of two hard-headed drivers’ fight over right of way, which caused a traffic nightmare in Jeddah, was referred to the Public Prosecution pending trial, police said.

A video posted online showed the drivers causing gridlock on a busy highway by getting into a heated spat over which one had the right of way.

A 70-year-old driver was arrested, while the other irate driver was on the run, the police said.

Fed-up pedestrians could be seen in the video trying to coax drivers into backing up.
