Abu Dhabi: The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has shut down a coal factory in Al Faqrah center in Medina, and confiscated three tonnes of coal and firewood, Saudi media reported.

“This came with the participation of field observers, rangelands and forests in the environmental unit, in addition to the joint efforts of security patrols at the Al Faqrah Center Police and the Research and Investigation Division,” a spokesman for the ministry said.

Ayman Bin Muhammad Al Sayyid, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Branch of Medinah, urged citizens and residents to quickly report any violations or abuses that harm the plant environment or prejudice its nature, especially unfair logging.
