Suspect moved to Public Prosecution after admitting to theft and arson



A Jordanian man was arrested after he allegedly stole jewellery from an Al Qurayyat apartment in Saudi Arabia.

Abu Dhabi: A Jordanian man, in his 40s, was arrested after he allegedly stole jewellery from an Al Qurayyat apartment in Saudi Arabia’s northern province of Al Jawf, about 30 kilometres from border of Jordan, police said.

“The suspect allegedly admitted to stealing the jellwery from an apartment and setting it ablaze to hide his crime, after stolen jewellery was found in his possession,” police added.

The man was taken into custody and all legal measures were taken to move his to the Public Prosecution for further questioning and trial, police said.
