Cairo: Saudi authorities have said that presenting a divorce document is mandatory for divorced women to get remarried, according to a newspaper report.

The Justice Ministry said that if a divorcee wants to get married again, she has to present her divorce document when the new marriage contract is conducted, according to the Saudi newspaper Okaz.

The ministry noted that the divorce document carries an issuance date and a serial number, advising the woman to check with the issuing agency in case she does not have the document.
