Dubai: Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday it will ease precautionary measures previously announced on March 27 in the districts of Al Shuraibat, Bani Dhafar, Qurban, Al Jumuah, part of Al Iskan and Bani Khadrah in Medina, as of Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The move has been taken following the health authorities' recommendations and residents of these districts will now be allowed to move freely to meet their needs from 9am until 5pm.

The health precautionary measures that have been previously announced will remain in place.

An official source at the Ministry of Interior said these measures have been taken as part of the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom to preserve public health by preventing the spread of the coronavirus, and are subject to continuous evaluation with health authorities.

The ministry called on members of the public to shoulder their responsibilities and adhere to precautionary measures to keep themselves and others safe.
