COVID-19: Saudi Arabia reports 2,671 new coronavirus cases, 42 deaths

Total recoveries rose to 183,048 in the kingdom

Dubai: Saudi Arabia has announced the detection of 2,671 new coronavirus cases after conducting more than 59,000 PCR tests across the Kingdom during the last 24 hours.

This brings the overall infection cases to 240,474, the Ministry of Health said during its daily press conference on Wednesday.

The ministry also revealed 42 more COVID-19 related fatalities, taking the country’s death toll to 2,325.

Also, 5,488 more COVID-19 infected people have made full recovery, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 183,048 , with the recovery rate is exceeding 76 per cent.

The ministry announced that the active cases have declined to 55,010, including 2,221 are critical.
