209 children, missing in Haj, reunited with families

Riyadh: Saudi security guards returned 209 children from different nationalities to their families after they had gone missing during the just-ended Haj pilgrimage season, Saudi authorities said.
One hundred of those children went missing on the Arafat Day, which marks the climax of the Haj that fell on Saturday this year, according to the online newspaper Sabq.
In reuniting the children with their families, security guards at the Holy Mosque in Makkah were guided by badges that the children’s parents had earlier attached to them including related information, the paper said.

The Saudi Haj and Umrah Security Service has released a video highlighting security forces’ efforts in reuniting missing children with their families.
Around 2.4 million Muslims from around the world perform the Haj rituals this year, according to official Saudi figures.
