COVID-19: With 206 new cases, Qatar’s total infections rise to 127,971

Total recoveries shoot up to 125,176 with 198 new recoveries

Dubai: Qatar today announced that 206 people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the country’s total number of confirmed infections to 127,971, the Ministry of Public Health said.

In its latest coronavirus update, the ministry said that no new fatalities have been reported during the last 24 hours, keeping death tally at 220.

The new cases were detected from among 5,545 people who have underwent PCR tests, raising the total number of people tested across the country to 837,486.

Total recoveries has risen to 125,176, as 198 patients have fully recovered in the last 24 hours.

Of the total infections, 2,795 are active cases, including 371 that are critical and still under intensive care.
