COVID-19: Qatar announces 2 deaths, 1,060 new cases

Country’s total infections rise to 91,838

Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announced the detection of 1,060 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 91,838.

Two more fatalities have also been reported, taking the death toll to 106, while the country’s overall recoveries raised to 74,544 with the recovery of 1,461 more patients over the past 24 hours.

There are 17,188 active cases, including 993 critical and 212 seriously ill patients under intensive care, while the remaining cases are stable receiving medication at various medical facilities in the country.

According to the ministry’s daily update, 4,324 people have tested for the COVID-19 virus, pushing the total number of tests conducted across the country to 337,496.
