Oman Police arrest expat with 20kg of crystal meth, heroin

Dubai: The Royal Oman Police has arrested an infiltrator with more than 20kg of narcotic substances, local media reported.

The ROP said: “The General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested an infiltrator of an Asian nationality as he tried to enter the Sultanate through a sea-route. He was in possession of 15 kilograms of crystal meth and 5.8 kilograms of heroin. The accused’s intention was to sell the drugs in partnership with an international gang, and legal measures are taken against him.”

Meanwhile, two people have been arrested for smuggling alcoholic substances.

A statement issued by the ROP said: “Coast Guard police boats in Musandam governorate arrested two persons of Asian nationality on charges of smuggling a large amount of alcoholic substances. Legal procedures are being taken against all the suspects.”
