Cairo: The Omani Health Ministry Saturday confirmed 111 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total infections to 1,180 and six deaths.

The latest patients are 33 Omanis and 78 foreigners, the ministry added in an update without giving a breakdown.

The total recoveries from the highly infectious ailment have reached 176, the ministry added, according to the Omani news agency ONA.

The ministry urged people to strictly comply with health isolation measures and to frequently wash hands with water and soap as well as observe social and physical distancing to halt the spread of the highly contagious virus.
