COVID-19: Oman reports 770 new cases, 5 deaths
Cairo: Oman has confirmed 770 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising to 15,086 the country’s overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported Friday.
The newly diagnosed cases include 343 Omanis and 427 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without giving a breakdown of foreign patients’ nationalities.
The ministry also reported five new deaths from COVID-19, taking the country’s total such fatalities to 72.
The country’s total recoveries from the disease have reached 3,451, it added. There are 60 patients receiving intensive care treatment.
Oman has conducted 2,463 coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours, according to the ministry.
