Kuwait City: Three expats and an Asian domestic worker were injured in two fires on Tuesday in Kuwait.

One of the fires was at the home of three expats who live in the Al Naim area. According to the Director of the Public Relations and Information’s Department of the General Fire Brigade, Mohammed Al Gharib, the fire fighters arrived in time and put out the fire so it did not spread to other sites.

The three expats suffered from suffocation and heat stress as a result of the flames. They were treated on the site by the emergency medical technicians.

On the second fire, Al Gharib said that firefighters responded to a report about a fire that broke out in a house in Al Rumaithiya area. The fire was said to have broken out in the kitchen and was put out by the firefighters before it spread into the other rooms.

An Asian domestic worker was injured during the fire and was treated for suffocation and heat exhaustion.
