Attackers face charges of forced robbery and assault



Two people have been arrested in Bahrain for assaulting and robbing an Asian.

Dubai: Two attackers aged 46 and 30, who were involved in assaulting and robbing an Asian in Bahrain, have been arrested and are now in prison, according to the Arabic daily newspaper Al Bilad.

The Bahraini Public Prosecution stated that the arrest occurred just hours after a viral video of the incident that happened in Isa Town.

It added that the attackers were detained until investigations were completed in preparation for their trial. It noted that they were facing charges of forced robbery and assault.

The viral video showed two people attacking the 29-year-old Asian. The first person was assaulting the Asian with the intention of stealing his belongings while the other was preventing passers-by from trying to help the victim.
