Manama: Three Bahraini nationals died in a road crash in Saudi Arabia, Bahraini media reported on Thursday.

The three were returning from Kuwait when their car crashed into a truck on a highway in the city of Dammam in eastern Saudi Arabia, Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper said.

They sustained serious injured and died later in hospital.

Meanwhile, coast guards rescued three Bahrainis from drowning after their boat sank, the Bahraini Interior Ministry reported.

The guards also towed the boat after the accident that occurred near the Amwaj Island off north-estern Bahrain, the ministry added.
