Bahrain reports 644 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths

An additional 301 patients recovered from Covid-19

Dubai: Bahrain on Monday recorded 644 new cases of Covid-19, taking the overall number of confirmed infections to 55,415.

Four Bahraini women, aged 64, 76, 77 and 78, died from the novel coronavirus, which takes the death toll to 200.

The Health Ministry revealed that of today’s 644 new cases, 87 were expatriate workers, 546 contacts of local cases, and 11 were travel-related.

It said that an additional 301 patients recovered from Covid-19, pushing the total number of recoveries to 50,946.

The ministry added that of the 4,270 active cases, 90 are receiving treatment and 32 in critical condition. The kingdom has also conducted 1,172,808 tests for Covid-19, following 10,459 COVID-19 tests carried out in the past 24 hours.
