Bahrain reports 511 new COVID-19 cases

Three new deaths, 524 additional coronavirus recoveries confirmed

Dubai: The total coronavirus infections in Bahrain has jumped to 24,081 after 511 people tested positive, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health announced on Friday.

The new cases were detected after conducting 8,600 new COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, which also takes the overall tests done so far to 511,458.

Among today’s cases, 320 were detected among expatriate workers, while 190 were found to have been exposed to active cases. Additionally, one case is travel-related.

The ministry has also reported 524 new recoveries from COVID-19, increasing total recoveries to 18,501, adding that three more deaths have also been confirmed, pushing the Kingdom’s death toll to 71.

“There are currently 136 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 38 are in a critical condition. 5471 cases are stable out of a total of 5,509 active cases,” the ministry tweeted.
