Passenger train rams into goods train in India; several feared injured

Tiruvallur: An express train collided with a stationary goods train in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district, causing two coaches to catch fire.

At least two other coaches derailed, and 10 injured passengers have been taken to a nearby hospital.

According to media reports, officials stated that the 12578 Mysore-Darbhanga Bagmati Express collided with a goods train at Kavaraipettai, near Chennai, around 8:50pm (Local Time) on Friday.

Teams from the National and State Disaster Response Forces, along with ambulances, have been dispatched to the scene.
