India: Indian couple commits suicide after 14-year love marriage, jump off railway platform
The couple got into a heated argument, prior to taking their life

Dubai: An Indian couple committed suicide after being married for 14 years, by jumping of a railway platform, in Haryana, India. The incident took place on November 28.
According to online reports, the couple was identified as Neeraj, 37, and Nisha, 35. They married for love and were living in the city of Yamunanagar in Haryana. They have two sons aged 14 and eight.
Reason for taking life
Police confirmed that the cause of death was suicide, and stated that the couple argued frequently. Family members of the couple also confirmed the same.
According to a report by Indian newspaper The Times of India, on the night of November 27 the couple allegedly got into a heated argument. Nisha stormed out of the house and went to a nearby railway station. Neeraj followed, hoping to pacify his wife.
The report stated that the couple continued to argue at the platform, till Nisha jumped off, as the Ferozepur-Dhanbad Express train approached.
Seeing his wife take her life, Neeraj also jumped in front of the train. Their bodies were discovered by the Government Railway Police in the morning.
An investigation is underway and the police are still working to find the facts of the argument, which pushed the couple to take such an extreme step.
