Rain in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman
Abu Dhabi: Moderate to heavy rain has been reported in parts of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman on Tuesday morning, as the unstable weather pattern continues in the UAE.

Lightning and thunder was also reported in the northern and eastern emirates as dark clouds enveloped the city’s skyline.
The weather is expected to remain unstable over the next two days before the temperature slightly rises again on Thursday.
On Wednesday, minimum temperatures will range between 21C and 28C in coastal and internal areas, with expected highs of 31C and 37C respectively. The mountain region will witness the lowest drop in temperatures at 15C while the maximum will reach 27C.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the weather will remain partly cloudy on Tuesday with some low cloud formations in the eastern region such as Khorfakkan, Kalba, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

The weather bureau issued a red alert about rough seas from 10am to 11pm for the coastline from Ras Al Khaimah all the way to Dubai, and warned people to “be extremely vigilant, hazardous weather events of exceptional severity are forecast.”

As of 10am, moderate to heavy rain was reported over Palm Jumeirah, Mirdif, Khawaneej, and Sharjah while light rain affected parts of Ajman.
The NCM also warned that the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf due to the formation of convective clouds associated with rainfall and fresh northwesterly winds, reaching 40 km/h.

The NCM posted a short video of the rain in Sharjah city as highways started to fill up with water.

In a statement, the centre said that the sea will be rough with expected wave height of up to 7 feet until 11 pm on Tuesday.

Sharjah Police urged drivers to take extra caution when driving in rain, to leave enough distances between vehicles and to drive at a reduced speed.
“Motorists are advised not to visit areas with wadis and dams due to the extreme threat they pose during the rainy season,” said Sharjah Police on its Twitter account.
