Watch: Major fire hits building in Abu Dhabi
Blaze extinguished by emergency services, with residents urged to avoid the area

Abu Dhabi: Civil defence teams on Thursday put the blaze out in the Al Maamoura area of Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority said the cooling process is underway after they managed to contain the fire. The firefighting teams rushed the scene immediately after receiving a report of the fire.
Abu Dhabi Police and the authority urged the public to steer away from the fire site and give way to police patrols, civil defence vehicles and ambulances.
The building houses a popular confectionary store. No casualties or injuries have yet been reported.
