1761: The Qasr Al Hosn built. The palace is a historical landmark and the oldest stone building in the city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. 1892: The Trucial States, which were a collection of independent Sheikdoms, formed a close bond with the British Government by signing a treaty. It was obligatory for the Trucial Sheikhs not to enter into agreement with any country other than the British Government. 1903: Lord George Curzon, Viceroy of India, visited the region and held meeting with Trucial Sheikhs on the board of cruiser Argonaut off Sharjah.
