Video: Fire breaks out in Ajman residential building, brought under control

The fire erupted in Tower 02 within the Ajman One complex in Al Rashdiyah 3 district of the emirate, Ajman Police reported.

Ajman: Emergency teams from Ajman Police and the Civil Defence swung into action quickly to control a fire which broke out in a residential tower in the early hours of Tuesday.

Ajman Police reported that the fire erupted in Tower 02 within the Ajman One complex in Ajman's Al Rashdiyah 3 district.

According to a senior official from Ajman Civil Defence, the building was evacuated and the flames were promptly brought under control by the Civil Defence teams, resulting in no casualties.

When Gulf News arrived on the scene, residents were observed sitting on the pavement, awaiting instructions from officials. In the meantime, locals from the nearby area distributed water bottles to the affected residents.

Major General Dr. Jassim Muhammad Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, along with Brigadier General Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director General of Police Operations at Ajman Police, and Colonel Khaled Ahmed Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of Ajman Civil Defense, supervised the fire extinguishing operation.

Brigadier General Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director General of Police Operations, at Ajman Police, clarified that in collaboration with the Police Operations Room, a mobile police station was set up at the incident site of Ajman One Tower (02) to offer services such as reports, certificates, and assistance to the residents.

Furthermore, in partnership with the Transport Authority, seven buses were arranged to facilitate the relocation of the affected tower's residents to hotels in Ajman and Sharjah, with the support of the Red Crescent.
