Abu Dhabi: Motorists and passengers stopping at Abu Dhabi checkpoints must wear facemasks, the Abu Dhabi Police has urged.

The pieces of personal protective equipment must be properly worn in order to avoid fines for violating COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Abu Dhabi has set up a number of checkpoints to verify that all travellers aged 12 years or more have tested negative for COVID-19 before entering the emirate.
