Indulge in Dubai's giant khachapuri: A cheesy Georgian delicacy
Dubai: Have you ever tried Khachapuri, a traditional Georgian boat-shaped bread dish filled with cheese and topped with an egg yolk? Now, Dubai's Shvili restaurant is taking this hearty treat to new heights with their XXXL Khachapuri.
Khachapuri is a frequent star on Georgian food tables. The roots of the dish run deep in Georgian history, with its origins tracing back centuries. The name ‘khachapuri’ is derived from two Georgian words, ‘khacho’, meaning cheese, and ‘puri’, meaning bread.
This gigantic version of the classic dish measures a whopping 60 centimeters and is filled with 1,700 grams of melted cheese. Topped with eight eggs, this cheesy delight is perfect for sharing with a group of friends or family.
The XXXL Khachapuri is available at all Shvili locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, priced at Dh490. No pre-booking is required.
In addition to this oversized indulgence, Shvili is a restaurant which offers a range of authentic Georgian dishes, such as the creamy chicken Satsivi.
The restaurant's cozy ambiance, with its live plants and dark wood interiors, creates a welcoming atmosphere for a traditional Georgian dining experience.
