Nagpur / India – In a deeply moving and tragic incident, a man from Madhya Pradesh was forced to carry his deceased wife’s body on the back of his motorcycle after she was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Nagpur-Jabalpur National Highway. A heartbreaking video of the scene, now circulating widely on social media, has stirred outrage and sorrow across the country.

The man, identified as Amit Yadav, 35, a resident of Seoni district, had been travelling with his wife, Gyarsi, to their village, Karanpur, when a speeding truck struck their motorcycle near Lonara in Nagpur district, Maharashtra.

According to police reports, the collision caused Gyarsi to fall onto the road, where she was fatally run over by the truck, which fled the scene without stopping.

In the aftermath, Yadav reportedly stood on the roadside, pleading with passing vehicles for help, desperate for assistance to transport his wife’s body. But no one stopped. With no ambulance in sight and no help from bystanders, the grieving husband was left with no choice. He gently tied his wife’s lifeless body to the back of his bike and began the painful journey home.

The video of Yadav riding with his wife’s body—silent, still, and wrapped—has drawn widespread public attention. Many have expressed shock and sadness over the lack of humanity shown by those who passed by.
