UAE charity aids Palestinians with special needs

Foundation has provided an elevator for the local hospital in Hebron for the handicapped

Jenin: The UAE aid group Human Appeal International (HAI) is providing assistance to people with special needs in the Palestinian territories through the building of a number of houses, provision of medical treatment and other services.

Ebrahim Rashid, commissioner of the HAI in the West Bank, said that people with special needs have priority.

“The foundation communicates with the underprivileged and low-income segments, particularly people with special needs and provides Dh5,000 for each case.”

He also said that the foundation has provided an elevator for the local hospital in Hebron for the handicapped to facilitate their movement.

Rashid reaffirmed the UAE’s continuous commitment to provide assistance to the Palestinian people.
