Dubai: A truck carrying United Arab Emitaes medical aid for Lebanon was bombed in an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday, an Emirates official said.
A Lebanese security official confirmed that one truck in a convoy of vehicles transporting Emirates aid had been hit and set on fire just after they crossed the boarder into Lebanon.
An Emirates official said the convoy, which included ambulances, was clearly marked as a relief operation.
One driver was reported injured. No one else was hurt in the attack.
Lebanese TV broadcast pictures of a truck on fire and another damaged on the mountain road.
The aid was part of Emirates' support for Lebanon during the Israeli offensive.
