Turkish prime minister heads to Saudi Arabia

Ankara: Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan left for Saudi Arabia on Saturday for talks on ending violence in the Middle East.

The prime minister's office said in a statement that Saudi Arabia is the prime minister's last stop after visiting Egypt, Syria and Jordan over the past week.

A Palestinian solidarity group said it is organizing a rally on Saturday in Ankara to protest Israel's airstrikes on Gaza.

There have been protests across Turkey since the raids started a week ago.
