Mogadishu: Somali pirates said on Sunday they have reached a deal for the release of a Ukrainian ship hijacked more than two months ago.
MV Faina is expected to be released within days. The pirates would reveal how much ransom they have demanded.
"We have no doubt this problem will be resolved and I hope the owners will honour the last remaining points," said Suguli Ali, a spokesman for the group.
On Tuesday, the pirates lowered the ransom to $3 million from the $35 million initially demanded for the ship laden with weapons.
