Jenin: A Palestinian teenager has died during a raid into the occupied West Bank by Israeli troops on Thursday, according to Palestinian officials.

The 16-year-old boy was shot by Israeli troops during an exchange of fire as they surrounded a house where Islamic Jihad militants were held up in the Kabatiya refugee camp near the city of Jenin.

The Israeli army said it was checking the report.
