Cairo: Twenty-five members of the opposition Muslim Brotherhood have been sentenced up to 10 years in jail, according to an official at their military trial.
Forty top members of the organisation were on trial on charges including money laundering and terrorism. It is not clear if the 25 were found guilty of both charges.
The official said 15 defendants were acquitted.
The military court is notorious for harsh verdicts, which cannot be appealed.
