Tehran: Iran's parliament has adopted a bill authorising tit-for-tat retaliation against countries that inspect Iranian ships and aircraft as part of the latest set of UN sanctions.

Iran's State radio broadcast the Tuesday parliament session live.

The bill follows last month's UN Security Council resolution to impose a fourth set of sanctions because of the country’s disputed nuclear programme. The sanctions came after Iran refused to halt its uranium enrichment activities, which the West suspects are geared towards making weapons. Iran however denies the charge.
