Dubai: Scores of Lebanese expatriates gathered in front of the Lebanese Consulate yesterday to express their anger towards Israeli's brutality.

Shouts of frustration and fury filled the place. Some were chanting and singing while others had their own words. A few others had nothing but tears. As for the children, who had no voices, the looks on the faces conveyed their message.

"We refuse to die", "Muslims and Christians united will free Lebanon" and "Lebanon will never give up", were some of slogans chanted as the crowds sang the Lebanese anthem.

"I want nations to wake up and see what is happening to our kids and our small country. Although we might be powerless in weapons and missiles, we have the power of faith and honour," said Rami Eisa.

An American who had come to express solidarity with the people of Lebanon, said: "Israel is over reacting and it is a shame they are targeting civilians. I am ashamed of my government and I am here to support the Lebanese people."

"I am mad and sad at what is happening, so I am here to at least give moral and spiritual support to the Lebanese people. I tell them you are empowered by your faith, so you will survive and resist Israel's and America's vulgarity by your strong will.

"As for the journalists all over the world I ask you to carry pictures and portray the reality as it is so everyone can witness the cruelty of this enemy," said Dr Mouza Ghobash, a national who heads a charity group.

"I want nations to wake up and see what is happening to our kids and our small country," said Lebanese expat Rami Eisa.
