Abbas and Olmert to meet on Tuesday

Ramallah: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert plan to meet on Tuesday to resume peace talks.

The talks will focus on Palestinian statehood and will be held in Occupied Jerusalem, Abbas's office said.

US President George W. Bush, who visited the region last month, has voiced confidence that Israel and Abbas can reach a peace deal before he leaves office in January.
