Aden: A Japanese oil tanker came under attack off the coast of Yemen, the ship operator said on Monday.
Japanese Transport Ministry official Yukio Yamashita said the unknown ship fired at the Japanese tanker, leaving a hole from which hundreds of gallons of fuels leaked.
The tanker was heading for Saudi Arabi when it was attacked. It was carrying 23 crew members, including 16 Filipinos.
No one was injured in the attack. The tanker was heading to Aden for repairs, the official said.
