Dubai: The Saudi Ministry of Education, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, announced the launch of five new specialized technology high schools across Riyadh, Medina, the Eastern Province, Qassim, and Jeddah.

The schools, set to open in the 1447 academic year, are dedicated to nurturing first-year secondary students with exceptional talent in technical fields.

The move represents a significant expansion of an innovative model first introduced in December 2024, when Saudi Arabia opened its first government-run technology high school for gifted students in Riyadh. That pilot, also a joint effort with Tuwaiq Academy, has become a blueprint for integrating advanced technical training into the national education system.

Each school will follow a pioneering academic model that fuses the national curriculum with specialized technical instruction in high-demand sectors including computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, and cybersecurity.

Designed to foster a dynamic and future-focused learning environment, the program also incorporates development tracks in intensive tech training, critical thinking, and leadership.

Additionally, students will also engage in scientific competitions, summer boot camps, and extracurricular activities aimed at cultivating curiosity, innovation, and teamwork. This is to develop not only academically advanced students, but also well-rounded digital citizens ready to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.
