Nabbed for allegedly falsifying, selling official documents, face 10 years jail

Cairo: Saudi police have arrested a six-member gang for allegedly dealing in forged official documents, a local newspaper reported Tuesday.
The suspects are six Pakistani nationals purportedly involved in forging and selling official documents, Okaz newspaper said.

“Security follow-up on forgery crimes and investigation efforts resulted in busting a gang of six Pakistanis nationals in their 40s and 50s who took the falsification and sale of official documents as a profession,” spokesman for Al Qassim police Lt Col Badr Al Suhaibani added.
SR33,020 and forgery material as well as tools were seized in their possession, the official added.
“They were arrested. Legal procedures are being taken with them before they are referred to public prosecution,” he added.
Forgery is a crime in Saudi Arabia punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of SR1 million.
