Dubai: A young Saudi man, who suffers from mental illness, has been missing for 25 days from his family’s residence in the Al Quds neighbourhood of Riyadh, local media reported.

Khalid Al Qarni, 24, was with his family, which was visiting from Khamis Mushait, a city in the south-west Saudi Arabia, to Riyadh during the mid-year school holiday.

The aggrieved father said his son disappeared in mysterious circumstances for almost four weeks. “Since then, we have not heard anything from him. My son suffers from mental illness,” he said.

“We searched for him in all hospitals, public facilities and transport stations but to no avail,” the father added.

The desparate father appealed for public help in finding his son and urged anyone who have information to approach the nearest police station or contact them directly.

The father said we filed a missing-person report with police and informed security authorities about his disappearance.
