Thousands of mosques and prayer grounds are set to host millions of worshippers

Dubai: As Ramadan comes to a close, most countries in the GCC have confirmed that tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, 2025, will mark the first day of Eid Al Fitr, meaning that Ramadan has completed 29 days.

However, Oman has confirmed that Monday, March 31, will be the first day of Eid, with tomorrow being the last day of Ramadan, as the moon-sighting committee was unable to spot the crescent of Shawwal.

In preparation for the Eid celebrations, thousands of mosques, open prayer grounds, and public squares have been designated across the Gulf countries to accommodate millions of worshippers expected to attend the early morning Eid prayers.

Eid prayer timings across the GCC nations:

UAE:

  • Abu Dhabi: 6:32 AM

  • Al Ain: 6:26 AM

  • Dubai: 6:28 AM

  • Sharjah: 6:28 AM

  • Ajman: 6:28 AM

  • Umm Al Quwain: 6:27 AM

  • Ras Al Khaimah: 6:25 AM

  • Fujairah: 6:25 AM

Saudi Arabia:

More than 15,948 mosques and 3,939 open-air prayer grounds across all regions of the Kingdom have been prepared to receive worshipers tomorrow morning for Eid prayers, which will start at:

  • Riyadh: 5:36 AM

  • Mecca: 6:08 AM

  • Medina: 6:05 AM

  • Jeddah: 6:10 AM

  • Dammam: 5:20 AM

Kuwait:

The Ministry of Awqaf has designated 57 locations, including public squares, youth centers, and sports fields, for Eid prayers in addition to all Friday-prayer mosques.

  • Prayer time: 5:56 AM

Bahrain:

The Sunni Endowments Directorate announced that prayers will be held at official mosques and designated prayer grounds.

  • Prayer time: 5:50 AM

Qatar:

Eid prayer will begin approximately 15–20 minutes after sunrise.

  • Doha: Sunrise at 5:39 AM; Prayer time: 5:54 AM

Oman (Monday, March 31):

Eid prayer in Oman will begin around 15 minutes after sunrise, varying slightly by city:

  • Muscat: 6:10 AM

  • Salalah: 6:20 AM

  • Sohar: 6:12 AM

  • Nizwa: 6:15 AM

  • Sur: 6:11 AM

  • Al Buraimi: 6:14 AM
