COVID-19: Saudi Arabia administers over 10 million vaccine jabs

Cairo: More than 10 million doses of the vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered in Saudi Arabia since December, the Health Ministry reported Thursday.

The ministry added that the shots were given at 587 inoculation centres across the kingdom.

The dose No 10 million was administered to a pregnant woman, who said in a video that the vaccine is safe for her and her fetus.

Expanded facilities

Saudi Arabia initiated mass vaccinations against COVID-10 on December 17. Authorities have offered the vaccination to citizens and foreign residents for free.

The kingdom has since expanded facilities where the vaccination is made available nationwide. Inoculation services have also been boosted including giving the jabs to home-bound patients.

Authorities have also launched “Take the Step, Take the Vaccine”, a national awareness campaigning highlighting the importance of registering to get the jab.
