Manama: An American expatriate used Qatar's blazing heat to turn her car into an oven and make car-baked cookies.
"I found a good use for Qatar's blazing desert sun," Texan Sybil wrote in her blog.
The enterprising homemaker's "culinary experiment" was conducted on July 14 when Doha recorded, 50.4C, its highest temperature in four decades, according to Qatari daily Gulf Times.
She baked the cookies in a tray on the dashboard of her car.
