Dubai: Another 243 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Qatar, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 117,008, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported on Sunday.

Meanwhile, some 277 COVID-19 patients have made full recovery from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 113,808, leaving 3,007 active cases under treatment.

No new deaths were reported for the seventh straight day, keeping the country’s death toll at 193.

The latest cases were detected after the ministry conducted 5,797 tests in the last 24 hours, taking the total tests done so far to 589,920 tests. There are 34 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 68.
