Muscat: Sunday marks Omani Women's Day and among the key topics to be discussed is how to expand women's social role and motives for achievment.
Oman’s leader Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed set October 17 as Omani Women's Day.
The day will be celebrated at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel, where participants will present ideas on how to develop personality traits in women and change stereotypical concepts about women's abilities.
Meanwhile, a campaign called "Risalati" has received good response from hundreds of Omani women who wrote messages to the country's leader.
Celebrations for Omani Women's Day will continue for a week with various events, including an art exhibition.
