Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Wednesday arrested four people on charges of a gruesome murder of a Bangladeshi national, whose body, cut into five pieces, was found in a drain in Sur on Tuesday.
"The body was cut and packed in five plastic bags," an eyewitness told Gulf News. "The deceased came from Satkania area near Chitagong but we are yet to establish his full identity," a spokesperson for the Bangladeshi embassy told Gulf News.
He also added that the murdered Bangladeshi expatriate was reported missing by his sponsor 20 days ago.
The body was found from Sharya area in Sur town in the eastern parts of the country. According to the embassy official all four arrested are Bangladeshi nationals.
