American tourist arrested in Oman for theft

Muscat: An American tourist has been arrested in Oman on theft and sabotage charges. The accused burgled a bank in the Shinas province as well as some houses in Muscat last week.

The accused was arrested in a flat in the province of Sohar, following a manhunt by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The man admitted to four instances of theft in Muscat alone. Large quantities of cash and jewelry were recovered from the thief.
