Kuwait: Nine men get hair shaved for harassing women

Manama: Nine men had the hair on their heads shaved by the police after they were caught harassing girls in shopping malls in Kuwait.

The men were arrested by Hawalli security servicemen in the Salmiya shopping area and referred to the police where they were given the head shaving punishment, local media reported.

The men were also asked to sign pledges of good conduct in public.

Shaving off head hair is sometimes used as a measure to shame young men for unruly behaviour.
